A parent is a child’s best advocate.

However, if you are a parent/caregiver of a child who is struggling to achieve academics and/or social success, you may need a special education consultant.

As a special education consultant, I utilize my expertise and passion to support and guide families who have a child with learning differences that may require a free and appropriate education (FAPE). I work directly with families to secure the necessary services their child deserves. This does not always mean special education. There are civil rights in a 504 plan to meet unique learning challenges outside of special education.

I have over twenty years’ experience in the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), assessments, and the special education process.

I hold an advanced degree in Disability Studies, a Master’s Degree in special education, and both a professional teaching and life teaching credential in learning differences form the state of California. In addition, I am a Board Certified Educational Therapist (BCET). I have had a private practice for over fifteen years providing direct services to students with learning differences. I am transitioning my practice to work directly with families.

A&E consultancy services provided my son with adequate academic support and were a great help. They were able to suggest schools that would accommodate him. They have always advocated for him and in the process have been very compassionate and helpful, keeping him on track throughout and ensuring that aspect has been taken care of.
